To the churches of the ALCA,

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, God’s Peace!

The ALC of the Tri-Cities congregation is ready to begin construction on our new church building. As you know, our church building in Pasco was burned in July of 2023, and we had spent some time trying to decide what direction we should go. 1. To rebuild the old church, or, 2. To go forward with a new building as we had purchased land and were pursuing building a new building before the arson happened. Another church has approached us, and has agreed to buy our building as is, and has taken over the restoration. We as a congregation have voted to continue forward with building a new church building, and have been working on the preliminaries up to this point. Our permit has been applied for, and is in the final stages before being issued.

Our Current Financial situation is as follows,

  1. The overall build cost is approximately three million, two hundred thousand dollars ($3,200,000.00). This includes all bids, as well as the purchased land, the well, preliminaries, etc.
  2. We are expecting to need an additional 1.5 million dollars to complete the project.

Our goal is to lower the current shortfall of approximately $1.5M. As a congregation, we will be, 1. self-performing some of the build, 2. exploring alternative equipment pricing, 3. looking for donations from other congregations as well as from businesses and individuals, and 4. doing some other fundraising.

We are soliciting funds from your congregation, please help as you have ability. We also solicit your prayers as we begin such a large undertaking, that the Lord would bless the labors of our hands and that we might move ahead with wisdom and patience.

Donation can be made through,
